Look who picked up 2 more kgs!!!
I honestly can’t believe it—just about 3 months ago, my oupa had cancer cut out of him, and now here he is, gaining weight and getting stronger every single day. This isn’t just a recovery; it’s a miracle, and I am in complete awe. At 81 years old, he’s proving that strength isn’t just physical—it’s the spirit and willpower that keep you fighting.
When I visited him today, my heart swelled with joy seeing how much progress he’s made. It feels surreal. Just a few months ago, we were all worried, not knowing if he would even make it through to the end of January. I remember those days being filled with so much uncertainty and fear, holding my breath with every update from the doctors.
But here he is—beating the odds, proving the doctors wrong, and showing us all what resilience looks like. Week after week, I’ve watched him improve, gaining strength not just in body but in spirit. His positive attitude has been a source of inspiration for all of us. There were times when I thought I might lose him, but he has continued to fight with every ounce of his being.
I am truly honoured and blessed to have him around. This man has always been nothing short of amazing, but watching him push through the toughest battle of his life has made me appreciate him even more. Seeing his determination and witnessing this recovery firsthand is a reminder of just how precious life is.
Alhumdulilah—there’s no other word to describe this journey than grateful. Grateful for his life, for his strength, and for every single day we still get to share with him.
Miracles do happen, and I’m lucky enough to be witnessing one. ❤
