Dear Michael,
Today marks the third anniversary of your death, and it’s still incredibly hard dealing with the pain of you being gone.
I can hardly believe it; it still feels like you are with me. I’m reminded of all the small things almost daily.
I often say: This was his favorite shirt, this was something he liked to say, this song he sang with a funny accent. I remember how he was here, and we did this. Every time I speak of you, it’s a bittersweet, painful memory.
I haven’t yet reached the point where I can remember you with fondness; memories of you are always painful. I can’t seem to deal with the pain your loss has caused. Even as I write this, tears fill my eyes.
You were one hard human to forget – I’d never want to; you were too precious. But I’m hoping to find a way to cope soon. You were so special.
I miss you and love you always and forever.
Love, Big Sis
